ORGANISATION
Accountability
We spend a lot of attention and time to the fundraising and the execution of the projects. Therefore we have worked together with AGDI for many years now. AGDI is a local organization in Guatemala. AGDI formulates the projects based on the needs and asks our support for it. If we approve of the project, we raise the funds. AGDI executes the projects and reports back to us. We support and accompany the projects.
Little expenditure
About 2% of the donations we receive for the Flor Ayuda Foundation goes to expenses. This percentage is so low because the board and the volunteers are committed, without invoicing their expenses. Your contribution therefore is almost wholly spent on the projects in Guatemala.
Reward policy
Members of the board receive no fee for their board activities. They do receive a volunteer allowance, which they immediately deposit to the bank account of the Flor Ayuda Foundation.
Board members and members of the fundraising committee not only spend their time on our charity. Many of them further support the Flor Ayuda Foundation with a yearly and generous donation!
ANBI Foundation
The Flor Ayuda Foundation is officially recognized as an ANBI, an Organization of General Benefit. This means we are recognized by the Dutch tax authorities. We have to publish the following data:

Our objective
The Flor Ayuda Foundation is dedicated to helping and supporting poor people in Guatemala concerning health care and education.
Our projects
The Flor Ayuda Foundation raises funds in the Netherlands and provides this money to education and health care in Guatemala. She cooperates with the local foundation AGDI, to reach these goals. Take a look at our projects for further information.
Financial accountability
Every year we undergo an audit of all our transactions and the annual accounts of the Flor Ayuda Foundation are prepared. This work is done for free. A copy of the annual accounts is sent to the tax authorities. All our finances are public, do have a look at them. Of all our revenues, more than 98% goes straight to our projects in Guatemala.
Our yearly expenses are about 2% of the revenues.
The Flor Ayuda Foundation believes that every child deserves a good future. In the Netherlands and the rest of Europe, we provide children a good start in life and the opportunity to learn. Many children in Guatemala do not get that chance. The Flor Ayuda Foundation does what it takes for children to improve their lives and the future we all share.
