(Ed. Note: Even though tax regulations for charitable deductions are similar in many countries, specifics may differ from those given below which pertain to Dutch law.)
The Flor Ayuda Foundation is recognized by the Dutch IRS as a charitable organization (ANBI). This makes your donations tax deductible
Gifts: limited deduction
Recurring and periodic donations are tax deductible as specified by current regulations. In short this means that the total amount of your donations which exceeds 1% of your base income may be deducted.
(Note that in Holland in this case the total deduction may not exceed 10% of your base income.)
Gifts: unlimited deduction
If you make a gift in the form of an annuity (five years continuously for the same amount), the entire amount is deductable. For this a legal note is required. For more information, please contact us.
Legacies: no inheritance tax
A bequest is a provision in your will by which you allocate a certain amount to a specific person or organization, for example a charity like Flor Ayuda. Normally, inheritance tax will have to be paid by the receiving party. Bequests to Flor Ayuda are exempt from inheritance tax.
You can easily record a bequest in your will. For more information, please contact your solicitor or ask us.
Our books are audited every year free of charge. A copy of the annual report goes to the IRS.
